Elevate your entryway with a piece that defines the room. While mass-produced furniture relies on thin veneers, we begin with massive 8/4 Black Walnut, hand-milled to a commanding 1.5" finished thickness.

The Seamless Waterfall Miter

The hallmark of this piece is the continuous grain flow. We hand-select each slab to ensure the natural wood patterns travel uninterrupted from the tabletop down the sides, creating a "visual river" of walnut. Beneath the surface, the miters are reinforced with a hidden internal Domino™ joinery system, ensuring the structure remains rock-solid for generations.

The Finish

Treated with three coats of hand-rubbed Osmo Polyx-Oil Satin, the Avenue Console offers a velvety, durable surface. It celebrates the organic warmth of the timber while resisting the rigors of daily life.

  • How is the 'waterfall' joint held together? We use a hidden mortise-and-tenon system (Festool Dominoes) inside the miters. This provides a massive amount of glue surface and mechanical strength, ensuring the joint never sags or separates.

  • Is the finish durable for drinks or keys? Yes. Osmo Polyx-Oil is a professional-grade hard-wax oil that is resistant to water, wine, and beer. It does not "flake" like a plastic lacquer; instead, it bonds with the wood fibers.

  • Can this be customized? Absolutely. Because we mill our own lumber we can adjust the height, length, or depth to fit your specific entryway or hallway.
